Today, we are addressing guidelines to address symptomatic individuals during the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020/21 flu season.
There is a heightened concern expected during the upcoming flu season because of the similarity of symptoms.
Here is what we recommend:
- First, we encourage you to get your seasonal flu vaccine at our office drive-in clinic
- If you have symptoms including:
- fever
- cough
- trouble breathing
- chills
- muscle pain
- sore throat
- loss of sense of taste or smell
- diarrhea
Please contact the office, as we will need to make a distinction between Covid-19 and influenza.
The office is prepared to do an encounter via TELEMEDICINE and to make arrangements to have testing at a drive-thru center using “RAPID” screening for both Covid-19 and Influenza A/B. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, appropriate therapy can be offered.
